Your Vote Could Be The Difference!
America Outdoors
If you're a hunter or target shooter, or even if you're not, but support an individual's right to personal firearms ownership, your vote in this year's presidential election is critical. Experts believe this will be one of the closest presidential elections in the last 40 years, perhaps the closest ever. So, every vote will count. The scary thing - and this is no Halloween joke - is that according to statistics from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, 30-40 percent of hunters and shooters are not registered to vote. In this upcoming election, the stakes are high for America's firearms manufacturers too. Firearms companies have been under tremendous attack by big-city majors who have heaped 31 lawsuits on them. The suits charge that responsible companies should be held responsible for the criminal misuse of a legal, non-defective product. If we allow this to happen to the firearms industry, it can happen in other industries. (This is akin to big-city majors suing the auto industry, because people in their cities have auto wrecks, even when the autos aren't found to be defective.) So, what's the difference in the two top presidential candidates? Here's a few: One candidate (Bush) will not burden gun owners with additional laws and regulations, or unthinkable licensing and registration; the other candidate (Gore) will try to. One candidate (Bush) understands that strict enforcement of existing laws will adequately protect all citizens; the other (Gore) belongs to an administration that has not prosecuted gun felons for breaking laws already on the books. One candidate(Bush) understands that politically motivated lawsuits are an abuse of power by mayors and greedy lawyers; the other candidate (Gore) does not. When anyone says that his or her vote doesn't matter, they're wrong. Many local and state elections will hinge on sportsmen and women going to the polls to vote. Your vote can not only make a difference, it can make the difference. America Outdoors urges all sportsmen and women to go to the polls on November 7th and vote. Help protect your freedoms.
